Very subtle smell
I really wanted to love these car air fresheners, and I have mixed feelings. On the positive side, they are very cute and well made. The small glass bottles feel sturdy, the wooden cap and rope give them a clean, minimalist look, and they look much nicer than typical gas-station air fresheners hanging from the mirror. Setup is simple enough—remove the plastic stopper, screw the wooden cap back on, and tip the bottle so the oil absorbs into the wood.As for the scent, this is where my expectations didn’t quite match reality. The vanilla cream smells pleasant and clean when you put the bottle right up to your nose, but the throw is extremely subtle. In my car, I barely noticed it unless I was actively trying to smell it. If you like strong or noticeable fragrances, this probably won’t do it for you. It’s more of a very light, background scent—almost more decorative than functional as an air freshener.I also found reactivating it a little messy. When tipping the bottle to resoak the wooden cap, oil got on my hands, which wasn’t ideal. In colder weather, I noticed the oil thickened or barely diffused at all, which didn’t help the scent performance. That said, I do appreciate that the fragrance isn’t overpowering or artificial, and the vanilla itself is nice—just very faint.Overall, these are aesthetically pleasing and thoughtfully designed, but they work best if you prefer subtle scents or mainly want something that looks good in your car. If you’re expecting a strong, long-lasting fragrance that fills the vehicle, you may be disappointed. For me, they’re cute and classy, but more decorative than effective.

Nice vanilla scent, but absolutely no throw
I have to say this one was a bit of a disappointment for me. I was truly hoping it would deliver in terms of scent quality, longevity, and throw, as everyone does when they purchase an air freshener, but this one really did not do it for me.​The vanilla scent present when you put the bottle pretty much up to your nose—which is the only way to smell it—is quite nice. I think in terms of formulation, they hit the mark with the scent itself.​However, they did not hit the mark in terms of throw; I feel as though you can barely smell it even when it is an inch away from your nose. The size provides the standard, plentiful amount of oil you would imagine for this bottle, but I can’t imagine that contributing to any sort of longevity or improvement in the long term since there is initially nothing to smell.​It is quite easy to figure out how to use: you just open it, take the seal off, and reaffix the cap. I know the cap is supposed to soak up the oil to disperse the scent, but I find that a lot of air fresheners of this sort do not possess longevity because the wood soaks up the initial smell; if that smell was hardly there to begin with, this is truly a pointless product.I may hold on to this one to try to infuse with a few drops of essential oil to see if perhaps some of the carrier oils or compounds in here will help turn the into the air freshener that this was not but that would be my only use.​What may initially seem like great value for the money is really only aesthetically pleasing—if even that, as the label printing is not the best either. It is well-formulated in terms of scent and composition, but it has little to no ability to actually be smelled.

Clean, fresh vanilla scent….
This vanilla cream car freshener is a great buy if you want something that looks classy and smells clean without punching you in the face. The presentation is excellent: glass bottles, a rope hanger, and a minimalist aesthetic that actually looks good in a car (not like a plastic gas-station air freshener). And you get TWO so that means you can use them in different cars or put one in reserve for when the first finally runs out. (That’s good value for the money.)Scent-wise, it’s smooth, sweet, and pleasant, but not overpowering. The vanilla cream smell is noticeable without being obnoxious, and it doesn’t scream “teen perfume aisle.” Also a big plus: since the bottles are clear glass, you can easily see how much liquid is left, which most fresheners don’t allow.It’s also long-lasting, and even though the listing markets it heavily toward women, I’m a guy — and I like it. Clean scent, good design, no cringe.
