The best mineral sunscreen I’ve ever tried!
Easily the best mineral sunscreen I’ve ever tried. Applies beautifully! Makes my skin look flawless, no grease or thickness/heaviness. The fluid consistency was exactly what I was looking for. Leaves a subtle white hue that absorbs and is to be expected with effective mineral sunscreens. As an acne prone girl I wanted something I could count on to protect my skin! This will be my new necessity I can’t live without.

BEST MINERAL/PHYSICAL SUNSCREEN EVER!!!
AMAZING! 🤩 Best physical/mineral sunscreen I have ever used, EVER! Idk how they accomplished this, but it does not leave a white cast and the feel is wonderful during application as well as afterwards, when it gets fully absorbed, like a good chemical, dare I say, Korean sunscreen. I always wanted to use mineral sunscreens over chemical whenever possible, especially for daily use, but the most I was able to withstand was a combination/hybrid, specifically a tinted one. Can’t say enough good things about this product. I love almost all Cerave products, but had not experienced success with their mineral sunscreens, prior to this one. After this, I’m a loyal customer for this sunscreen. Highly recommend!

Good
Minimal or no white cast that I can see really and it works good. Only downside would be it smells like sunscreen and also at a certain point in the day you just really wanna wash your face cause you start to feel like you have 6 hour old sunscreen on your face. But that’s probably more of a critique of sunscreen itself than this one in particular. Also for the reviews that said it smells horrible they’re completely just exaggerating it smells exactly like every other sunscreen there is. You cannot possibly say this sunscreen smells any different from anything you’ve used in the past. I can’t see how you would avoid the smell unless you masked the smell with fragrances which would probably be even more nauseating. It’s not that bad though it just occasionally will make itself known and in a way it smells like you’re at the beach or something. Also it’s a mineral sunscreen so I figure that if you’re going to try and make something with“better ingredients“ it’s always gonna come with some caveats. Maybe they can figure out some way of masking that smell. Otherwise, works good!

Performs like a great chemical sunscreen but is all mineral
Really amazing.I generally use Korean sunscreens (bought from Korea with their filters rather than the version they make with US filters).I also generally prefer mineral sunscreens because I have some health conditions that wouldn’t do well with hormone disruptions; I know that most chemical sunscreens don’t have enough of the disruptors in them to matter, but, if given a choice among two equal sunscreens from a performance standpoint, I will choose the mineral version just to eliminate risk.But even Korean mineral sunscreens (Round Lab is the one I’ve been using) go on a bit pasty and thick. I can tell I’m wearing them. And, even though I’m about as pale as you can get, I still get that chalky/gray look when I wear them.Enter this CeraVe Invisible Mineral Sunscreen. I’ve been using it for two days and am shocked at how easily this goes on. Slides on like the best Korean chemical sunscreens. And I have absolutely no chalky/gray look. And the price is fair and competitive in today’s sunscreen market.This is now what I’m going to use on the daily.

Lightweight, but has a chemical smell and stings the eyes
I’m giving this 3 stars because after wearing it, you can notice a chemical smell on your face, especially when you’re outside and the wind hits your skin. That really bothers me.It also dried out my skin a bit, and it stings if you scratch your face and then touch your eyes, which is another issue for me.

Unpleasant smell when first applied
I am wearing this daily to help with protecting a surgical scar on my face. It is my only experience with a mineral sunscreen. I couldn’t find a similar product locally. I love how easily it is to apply. It does not leave embarrassing white patches or rub off on clothing. It hasn’t run in my eyes. I have successfully applied foundation over it. I appreciate that it doesn’t have any added fragrances. However, when I first apply this, it has a distinctly unpleasant smell. It is best described in polite company as digested organic matter. The distinctive smell seems to fade, and hopefully no one else notices it. Still it is gross enough that if you have a chance to compare this product with other mineral sunscreens in a store, I would. (update: I found that shaking it really well before each use seems to have solved the odor issue)

Finally, a truly invisible mineral sunscreen
This is the best mineral sunscreen I’ve tried. Most untinted mineral sunscreens that claim to be “sheer” or “invisible” still leave a noticeable white cast. This is the first one that genuinely blends in.Because of this, you can actually apply the recommended two finger lengths without fear of looking gray or chalky. When I saw the ads claiming it blends in even on stubble, I was skeptical—but it’s completely true. It disappears on all skin textures.The formula doesn’t pill, even if you’re a day or two away from your most recent exfoliation, though your skin does need to be well-moisturized for the best application. It’s also not drying like typical mineral sunscreens, which often leave skin feeling tight and parched.The only drawback is that it’s not waterproof, so it won’t work for swimming or heavy sweating. But for the price and quality, this is definitely one I’ll order again.
